Italy Decorates Turkish Businessman With Medal Of Merit

ISTANBUL (AA) - Italy awarded Mustafa Koc, president of Turkish Koc Holding, with the medal of merit ''Grande Ufficiale'' for his contributions to development of friendly cultural and economic relations between Turkey and Italy.
     The Koc Holding said on Friday that Italian Ambassador to Turkey Carlo Marsili decorated Koc with the medal of merit at a ceremony in Istanbul.
     Marsili eulogized Koc's efforts for creation of an atmosphere of economic and commercial cooperation between the two countries.
     Meanwhile, Koc said that they aimed to further strengthen friendly cooperation with their Italian partners such as Fiat and Unicredito.
     The Italian government gives ''Grande Ufficiale'' to those who contribute to development of Italy's cultural, economic and social relations with other countries.
     Previously, Vehbi Koc, founder of the Koc Holding, and Rahmi Koc, honorary chairman of the Holding, were awarded with the same medal.
