ANKARA (AA) - Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan welcomed Iraqi Prime Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari with full military honors in Ankara on Friday.
     Turkish FM & Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul, Finance Minister Kemal Unakitan, Industry & Trade Minister Ali Coskun, Energy & Natural Resources Minister Hilmi Guler and other senior state officials took part in the welcoming ceremony.
     The two premiers will have a tete-a-tete meeting and chair meetings between delegations. They are expected to hold a press conference later in the day.
     This morning, al-Jaafari visited the mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, the founder of modern and secular Republic of Turkey.
     He laid a wreath to the tomb of Ataturk, and observed a minute of silence in the memory of Ataturk.
     Al-Jaafari arrived in Turkey yesterday on his first foreign trip since taking office last month, and is accompanied by five ministers.
