ANKARA (AA) - Turkish President Ahmet Necdet Sezer arrived in Bulgaria on Friday for a formal visit upon invitation of Bulgarian President Georgi Purvanov.
President Sezer will attend a meeting on ''Regional Forum on Cultural Corridors in Southeast Europe: Common Past and Shared Heritage - A Key to Future Partnership'' in Varna.
The symposium will be hosted in association with the Bulgarian government, the United Nations Educational, Scientific & Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and the Council of Europe (COE).
President Sezer is expected to hold bilateral talks with heads of state of the other participating countries.
Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs Deputy Undersecretary Ender Arat is accompanying President Sezer.
He is expected to return to Turkey on May 21st.
