JERUSALEM - Rescue services were put on alert at Tel Aviv`s Ben Gurion aiport Thursday evening after an Airbus from an unidentified airline reported difficulties in making a landing, public television said.
The news report said the aircraft`s landing gear was jammed, and that the pilot had decided to jettison fuel reserves before attempting an emergency landing.
The plane was said to be carrying around 300 passengers.
Firefighters and ambulances were standing by.
