Gen. Basbug Meets Azeri Defense Minister

BAKU (AA) - Turkish Deputy Chief of General Staff Gen. Ilker Basbug met today in Baku the Azeri Defense Minister Sefer Abiyev.
     Basbug also visited the Turkish Martyrs Cemetery and left a wreath where Turkish soldiers were fallen during the fight for Azerbaijan's independence, in 1918.
     General Basbug wrote in the Martyrs Private Register:
     ''Brave sons, dear martyrs. You did not die. You have become martyrs for the independence and territorial integrity of your country. You will be role models for generations to come. One Nation, Two States will not forget you. We remember you today with our deepest sympathy and have utmost respect for you. May you lie in peace.''
     General Basbug is also scheduled to meet the Azeri President Ilham Aliyev and Parliament Speaker Murtuz Aleskerov tomorrow (Wednesday).
