ISTANBUL (AA) - Three people were sentenced to eight years in prison for marketing bootleg raki.
The High Criminal Court no: 4 in Istanbul sentenced on Tuesday three people to eight years in prison for jeopardizing public health by illegally producing and marketing raki, a popular anise-flavored drink in Turkey.
Nearly 25 people died after drinking bootleg raki, apparently made using methyl alcohol.
