Onur Air To File Legal Suit Against The Dutch Government

AMSTERDAM (AA) - Privately owned Turkish company Onur Air has announced that it has made a decision to file a legal suit against the Dutch government for banning its flights to and from the Netherlands.
     Onur Air Netherlands Representative Esat Aksak has informed the A.A that, although talks are going on between the civil aviation officials of both countries, Onur Air will not wait too long before it files a legal suit against the Dutch government.
     Aksak indicated that a meeting scheduled for tomorrow will involve the officials of Turkey and the Netherlands. ''This issue directly involves Turkey,'' remarked Aksak.
     ''To this day, the Dutch government has not made clear the reason(s) behind its ban of Onur Air flights. Our attorneys may file legal suit tomorrow or after tomorrow,'' told Aksak.
     The Dutch government banned Onur Air flights for one month.
     The meeting held yesterday between Onur Air executives and Dutch authorities only lasted three minutes, as Onur Air officials left the meeting in protest of the approach of Dutch authorities.
     Tomorrow's (Wednesday) meeting will bring together Dutch aviation authorities and technical staff. Afterwards the Dutch and Turkish technicians will check Onur Air planes.
