WARSAW (AA) - Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder met during the Council of Europe (COE) Third Summit of Heads of State & Government in Polish capital Warsaw on Tuesday.
During the meeting, Erdogan and Schroeder decided that Turkish and German authorities should cooperate with the Onur Air to resolve technical problems.
A written statement was released following the meeting, reading, ''the amicable tourism cooperation has been continuing between Turkey and Germany. Our primary target is that tourists visiting our countries should not face any difficulties during their vacation. Turkish and German authorities will cooperate with the Onur Air to resolve technical problems in the possible shortest time. In case of repetition of similar problems in the future, our relevant institutions will maintain their cooperation to deal with exigencies.''
Last week, the Dutch Ministry of Transportation announced that they suspended Onur Air's flights for a month due to technical shortcomings. Later, the Netherlands was followed by Germany, France and Switzerland.
