Silk Road Train Not To Stop By Uzbekistan And Kyrgyzstan

ANKARA (AA) - The Silk Road Train will not stop by Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan due to recent developments in those countries, sources told the A.A on Tuesday.
     The train left Tajikistan for Kazakhstan yesterday (Monday). It is expected to arrive in Kazakh capital Almaty on May 21st.
     The ''Silk Road Turkish Export Products Fair'' will open in Almaty on May 27th.
     Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, State Minister Kursad Tuzmen and a number of Turkish businessmen will be in attendance at the opening in Almaty.
     The Silk Road Train set off from Istanbul on April 23rd to promote Turkey and Turkish products in 7 countries including Iran, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan, on a railway of 10,560 kilometers, within 38 days.
     The fair aims to revive the Silk Road, one of the most important trade routes of the past, and further improve commercial and cultural relations between regional countries.
