Dutch And Turkish Officials Could Not Reach Compromise

AMSTERDAM (AA) - Turkish and Dutch civil aviation authorities could not reach a compromise regarding the ban on flights of Turkish Onur Airlines in the Netherlands.
     Sources said that talks would continue on May 18th in Istanbul.
     Upon initiatives of Turkey, Dutch and Turkish civil aviation authorities held a meeting which lasted nearly 12 hours yesterday (on Monday) in the Netherlands.
     Turkish Transportation Ministry Deputy Undersecretary Baris Tozar said that Turkey believed that the reasons of Dutch officials for ban on flights of Onur Air were not sufficient.
     Last week, Dutch Transportation Ministry announced that they suspended Onur Air's flights for one month due to technical shortcomings. Later, the Netherlands was followed by Germany, France and Switzerland.
