ANKARA (AA) - Turkish Deputy Parliament Speaker Sadik Yakut met Turkish-German Friendship Federation Chairman Rolf Reinemann and members of the federation on Monday.
Stating that Turkey suffered much from terrorism in the last 25 years, Yakut noted, ''some of our friends in Europe do not support Turkey in fight against terrorism. All countries should fight against terrorism jointly.'' He stressed that they were aware of the support of Germany to fight against terrorism.
Yakut noted that 65 percent of Turkish people wanted to be a full member of the European Union (EU), stating that Turkey took very important steps on its path to the EU by enacting several reforms.
Reinemann said that they support Turkey's accession to the EU.
