Italian aid worker kidnapped in Afghanistan: embassy

KABUL - An Italian aid worker was abducted Monday in the Afghan capital Kabul, the Italian embassy told AFP.
Afghan police had earlier identified the woman as Canadian.
"Yes, we can confirm that an Italian woman was abducted today in Kabul," an embassy spokesman said.
The woman, who works for Care International, was abducted by four armed men, security sources said.
