WASHINGTON - US President George W. Bush will meet with Afghan President Hamid Karzai at the White House May 23, his spokesman said Thursday.
The spokesman, Scott McClellan, recalled that the two leaders last met in September 2004 at the UN General Assembly session in New York.
"This will be an opportunity for the two leaders to discuss the progress in the global war on terrorism, the achievements of the Afghan people in building democracy and our ongoing cooperation on a range of bilateral, regional and international issues," McClellan said.
