BAGHDAD - Two separate bomb blasts in Iraq killed two US soldiers and wounded another on Thursday, the US military said.
A bomb wounded two US soldiers when it went off next to a patrol near Samarra, 125 kilometres (75 miles) north of Baghdad around 2:45 pm (1045 GMT), the military said in a statement.
In a separate attack, one soldier was killed when a bomb went off near a vehicle east of Musayib, about 60 kilometres (37 miles) south of Baghdad, the US military said.
No further details were available.
The latest deaths brought to 19 the number of US troops who have been killed since Saturday, one of the most deadly periods for US troops on the ground since the 2003 invasion.
The total number of US servicemen killed in Iraq now stands at 1,609, according to an AFP tally based on Pentagon figures.
