Summit Of The Southeast European Countries Cooperation Process Ends

BUCHAREST (AA) - The 8th summit of the Southeast European Countries Cooperation Process (SECCP) in Romanian capital Bucharest ended on Wednesday.
     Heads of state and government of CESSP-member countries approved the final declaration.
     In the declaration, the leaders expressed their sorrow over loss of lives in flood disasters in Romania and Serbia-Montenegro.
     The declaration encouraged a renewed and productive dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina over the issue of Kosovo, and highlighted importance of settlement of a democratic and multiethnic social structure in Kosovo in regard to stability in the region.
     Welcoming progress made by the regional countries in their integration process with Europe, the declaration called on all regional countries to show respect to sovereignty and territorial integrity of each other.
     Foreign Minister & Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul represented Turkey at the summit.
