President Sezer Receives Portuguese Prime Minister Socrates

SINTRA (AA) - Turkish President Ahmet Necdet Sezer received on Wednesday Prime Minister Jorse Socrates of Portugal.
     Following the meeting, ''Prevention of Double Taxation'', ''International Highway Transportation Agreement'' and ''Cooperation between Turkish and Portuguese Foreign Ministries in EU Process'' were signed.
     Prime Minister Socrates said that President Sezer's visit would make a valuable contribution to development of the bilateral economic and cultural relations between Turkey and Portugal.
     Extending Portugal's support to Turkey's EU membership process, Prime Minister Socrates said that Turkey's membership would diversify and enrich the Union.
