Turkey To Continue Training Program For Iraqi Political Groups

ANKARA (AA) - Turkey has decided to continue its training program for Iraqi political groups to contribute to democratization process in that country.
     A Foreign Ministry statement noted on Wednesday that a short-term training program was earlier held (before 2005 elections in Iraq) for Iraqi political parties and groups on topics of election systems, democratic regime institutions and applications.
     ''Upon the demands of various Iraqi political parties, it has been decided to carry on with the program as of May 9th, Monday,'' Foreign Ministry said.
     The Iraqi political groups will attend the seminars to be held at Turkey-Middle East Public Institute (TODAI), Constitutional Court, Higher Election Board and Faculty of Political Science in Ankara.
     Ministry added that the training program was open to all Iraqi political groups.
