ANTALYA (AA) - Turkish tourism which is on its peak mainly in southern city of Antalya and has been dependant on German market for long years, tends towards new markets.
     The number of tourists who came to Antalya in the first four months of 2005 increased by 25.07 percent.
     According to the figures of Antalya Culture and Tourism office, the number of Swiss tourists who came to Antalya increased by 86.18 percent between January 1st and April 30th, 2005. In the same period, the number of Australian tourists increased by 45 percent, that of Danish tourists rose by 84 percent, that of Norwegians climbed by 206 percent, that of Hungarians increased by 116 percent and that of Portuguese tourists increased by 143 percent.
     Nevertheless German tourists are still ranked the first in the list of tourists who come to Antalya from other countries between January 1st and April 30th, 2005. Dutch and Swiss tourists are behind German tourists in the same period.
     Representatives of tourism sector in Antalya say that Turkish tourism sector has started to take fruitful initiatives at Swiss, Austrian, Israeli, Belgian, French and British markets.
