Greek Cypriots Send Writs Also To Turkish Cypriots Who Get Medical Treatment In Their Hospitals

LEFKOSA (AA) - TRNC Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Serdar Denktas said on Tuesday that Greek Cypriots have started to send writs to Turkish Cypriots who got medical treatment at Greek Cypriot hospitals(calling them to pay their alleged fees to those hospitals.)
     Serdar Denktas said that they sent back the writs, which were sent to their ministry by the UN peace keeping force in Cyprus.
     A Democrat Party (DP) delegation headed by Serdar Denktas paid a courtesy visit to former TRNC President Rauf Denktas the same day. Speaking at the meeting, Denktas said that they asked the UN peace keeping force not to mediate in such issues and noted that they sent back the writs. "Greek Cypriots are doing their best to prevent us from breathing," he added.
     Rauf Denktas said in his part that ''Greek Cypriots propagated until today saying that they treated Turkish Cypriots, now they want to make us pay for that. These are expected things.''
     Denktas criticized some papers that reflected trilateral meeting between Premier Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Greek Cypriot leader Tasos Papadopoulos and UN Secretary General Kofi Annan as a "new hope" for a settlement and noted that there were no development and initiative for a solution on Cyprus issue yet. "Let's not delude ourselves by thinking that a new way was opened for a solution with the meeting between Erdogan, Papadopoulos and Annan. We know the Greek Cypriots well and we clearly see that they do not need to set up a new partnership with us thanks to the facilities brought to them by the United States, Britain and European Union."
     Underlining that Greek Cypriots declared 2005 as "EOKA Year", Denktas said a fair and lasting agreement cannot be reached in EOKA year when 21 thousand EOKA members will be given medals.
