Turkish Gendarmerie Forces Commander General Fevzi Turkeri In Bulgaria

SOFIA (AA) - Turkish Gendarmerie Forces Commander General Fevzi Turkeri arrived in Sofia on Tuesday for an official visit.
     Turkeri held meetings with the Bulgarian Gendarmerie Commander General Jivko Jivkov, Chief of General Staff General Peter Petrov and Minister of Interior Affairs Georgi Petkanov.
     The meetings focused on possible cooperation between the gendarmerie forces of the two states.
     General Turkeri indicated that the meetings were overall very positive and that Turkey and Bulgaria share similar concerns on certain topics.
     Turkeri also paid a visit to the Turkish ambassador in Sofia Haydar Berk.
     General Turkeri will return to Ankara tomorrow afternoon.
