BRUSSELS (AA) - General Hilmi Ozkok, the Turkish Chief of General Staff will participate in NATO Military Committee's spring meetings which will start in Brussels, on Wednesday.
NATO Military Committee is composed of NATO countries' army chiefs and it is the highest military decision-making body within NATO.
On the first day, the Euro-Atlantic Cooperation Committee and NATO-Russia Military Committee meetings will take place.
NATO member countries' chiefs of general staff will also meet the military representatives of Mediterranean countries and discuss cooperation and dialogue between them. In the joint meeting of top military officials of Mediterranean countries --namely Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Mauritania, Morocco and Tunisia; with NATO Military Committee, the sides will discuss methods of countering terrorism, and methods of enhancing cooperation particularly in the field of intelligence gathering.
NATO Military Committee will also debate NATO's training operations in Iraq, military plans and various reports in its 152nd meeting on Thursday.
The Military Committee convenes three times a year at the level of chiefs of general staff. The other meetings take place among 26 NATO-member countries' permanent military representatives in Brussels.
