ADANA (AA) - The market share of Turkish transportation sector in Iraq has started to increase again due to policies and decrease in attacks after formation of the government in Iraq.
International Transporters' Association (UND) Working Group Chairman Tahir Aydogan told the A.A correspondent today (Tuesday) that they had struggled much not to lose Iraqi market, a great and important one for Turkey.
Stating that the market share of Turkish transportation sector in Iraq was 90 percent before the war but it decreased to 60 percent after attacks on truck drivers, Aydogan indicated, ''we increased our market share in Iraq due to policies and decrease in the number of attacks after formation of the government in Iraq.''
Aydogan said that they increased the market share from 60 to 80 percent now, adding that he hoped that this rate would increase more in coming days.
