ULAN BATOR (AA) - Turkish State Minister Kursad Tuzmen arrived in Mongolian capital of Ulan Bator late on Monday (May 9th).
     Tuzmen and Mongolian Education, Culture & Science Minister Puntsag Tsagaan attended opening session of the fourth term meeting of Turkish-Mongolian Joint Economic Commission.
     Tuzmen indicated that trade volume between Turkey and Mongolia was expected to reach 50 million USD in coming years.
     Informing participants on Turkish economy, Tuzmen noted that Turkey's total national income was about 300 billion USD and the country was among the top 20 countries of the world in terms of national income.
     Tuzmen noted that Turkey aimed to reach 75 billion USD in exports and 105 billion USD in imports this year.
     ''My visit to Mongolia is of great importance since I will have more information about cooperation opportunities between our two countries,'' he stressed.
     Tuzmen noted that Turkish and Mongolian businessmen should be encouraged to make business together, adding that they expected concrete steps would be taken on leather organized industry during the meetings of JEC.
     On the other hand, Tsagaan noted that they wanted to cooperate in construction, energy and professional issues with Turkey.
     Later, State Minister Tuzmen visited Mongolian Construction & Urban Development Minister Nyamjav Batbayar and Trade & Industry Minister Sukhbaatar Batbold.
