ANKARA (AA) - Turkish Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul will pay an official visit to the Ukraine Republic between 11th-13th May, 2005.
     Gul's visit will be the first official one from Turkey after the recent presidential election in the Ukraine.
     Gul will meet the Ukraine's Foreign Minister Borys Tarasyuk, President Viktor Yushchenko, Prime Minister Yuliya Tymoshenko and Speaker of Parliament in Kiev.
     Gul will discuss political, economic, commercial and cultural ties with the Ukrainians. Gul will also get together with Turkish businessmen active in the Ukraine.
     Turkey is Ukraine's fifth largest economic partner. The Ukraine Republic is Turkey's third biggest market for exports. Bi-lateral trade volume reached three billion U.S. dollars in 2004.
     Gul is scheduled to visit the Crimean Autonomous Republic after he completes meetings in Kiev.
     Gul will return to Ankara on May 13th.
