LEFKOSA (AA) - Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) FM & Deputy Prime Minister Serdar Denktas has remarked today (Monday) that the issue of Cyprus is in a period of uncertainty. ''The process in Cyprus has slowed down. There is not a singly signal that would help the process to speed up. The ball is now in Mr. Kofi Annan's court,'' said Denktas.
''The Greek Cypriots want to play against time. We cannot and will not wait until eternity. We have given the Greek Cypriots two years to act. If there is no solution at the end of the two years, then we would be forced to find a solution on our own,'' told Denktas.
According to Denktas, the Greek Cypriots try to turn things in Cyprus into a legal battle. ''If they want to play games using legal offices and authorities, we want to inform them that we are also ready to act accordingly. Each and every step taken by the Greek Cypriots will receive the appropriate response,'' told Denktas.
