BISHKEK (AA) - ''Turkish government and people support the new administration and people of Kyrgyzstan'', Turkish Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul said on Friday.
Gul, who is visiting Kyrgyzstan, met the country's Interim Premier and President Kurmanbek Bakiyev.
During the meeting, Gul said that Kyrgyzstan was experiencing a new period after the March 24th revolution, and noted, ''we hope that this period will bring a bright future to Kyrgyzstan. We believe that this period will be more transparent, democratic and freer, and corruption will be fought against and rule of law will be assured in this new period.''
On the other hand, Bakiyev said that Turkey continued to support their country, and expressed willingness to further improve relations with Turkey.
Gul later met Kyrgyz Parliament Speaker Omurbek Tekebayev. In their meeting, Tekebayev said that his country was working on a new constitution, and noted that they would be pleased to make use of Turkey's experiences (regarding this matter).
FM Gul, who also met Ar-Namys Party leader Felix Kulov, is expected to leave Bishkek for Turkey later today.
