Turkish Police Seize 100 Kg Heroin In Mugla

MUGLA (AA) - Turkish police seized 100 kilograms of heroin during an operation in Marmaris town of Aegean city of Mugla, Police Chief Mehmet Emin Korpe said on Friday.
     Korpe told reporters that police was after a drug trafficking gang for the last two months, and learned that the heroin was brought in to Marmaris from Iran via (eastern city of) Van.
     The heroin was destined to foreign countries, Korpe said.
     Korpe noted that disguised police officers contacted the members of the gang, confiscated the heroin, and arrested 11 people.
