BISHKEK (AA) - Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Roza Otunbayeva said on Friday that they are trying to compensate the losses of Turkish businessmen who suffered from the looting that occurred between March 24th and 25th.
Turkish Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul and Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Roza Otunbayeva held a joint news conference in Bishkek today.
Otunbayeva said his country was going through a new period, stating that several difficulties erupted in this period.
Otunbayeva expressed gratitude for Turkey's assistance, and recalled that they set up a commission to determine the losses of all businessmen and enterprises who were affected by the looting.
Replying to a question, Otunbayeva said he could not comment on the issue of confiscated Pinara hotel, belonging to a Turkish businessmen, since the issue was now before court.
