NEW YORK (AA) - Hudson Turkish American Cultural Association (HUTACA) which is based in New Jersey state of the United States will organize its annual friendship dinner namely ''From New Jersey Shores to the Bosphorus: Building Bridges of Dialogue'' in Istanbul this year.
HUTACA's President Guvenc Kulen said on Friday that HUTACA would host a distinguished 22-member group of New Jersey politicians, local administration officers, academicians, businessmen and religious leaders from different faiths in Turkey for a week between May 27th-June 4th, 2005.
Kulen said that the participants will have the opportunity to explore the cultural richness, ethnic and religious diversity of one of the oldest civilizations by traveling to several historic and touristic cities and towns such as Istanbul, Izmir, Efes (Ephesus), Bodrum and Pamukkale and by meeting leading business, cultural, religious and political figures in Turkey including Turkish Religious Affairs Head, Turkey's Fener Greek Patriarch, Turkey's Armenian Patriarch and Turkey's Jewish Chief Rabbi.
Kulen stressed that HUTACA also aimed to contribute to overcoming the relative tension in Turkish-US relations.
