Flying Broom Women's Films Festival Begins

ANKARA (AA) - The Flying Broom Women's Films Festival has began in Ankara today (Thursday) with a ceremony at the State Opera and Ballet center.
     Halime Guner, General Coordinator of the Flying Broom, stated that the festival will continue until May 15th. The theme of the festival this year (2005) is ''Love.''
     Guner remarked that love is found in the nature of women. ''Love is life itself...love creates life.''
     Guner indicated that women, globally, get tortured, accused and killed. ''However, women today are in search of cooperation and staying strong worldwide,'' told Guner.
     Guner told the A.A that, aside from films, the festival will include conferences on issues pertaining to women.
