ANKARA - Turkish Foreign Minister & Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul will leave for Kyrgyzstan on Thursday.
Releasing a statement, the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) said on Wednesday that Gul was scheduled to meet Kyrgyz Prime Minister Kurmanbek Bakiyev, Parliament Speaker Omurbek Tekebayev, Deputy Prime Minister Daniyar Usenov and Foreign Minister Roza Otunbayeva on Friday.
Highlighting importance of the progress in preservation of stability and public order and continuation of development in Kyrgyzstan, the MFA said, ``there have been friendly ties between the two countries. Turkey has been monitoring recent developments in Kyrgyzstan. Turkey will continue supporting Kyrgyzstan`s democratization process.``
``Foreign Minister Gul`s visit will underline the importance attributed by Turkey to its relations with Kyrgyzstan. Also, the visit will unveil the significance of political, economic, commercial and social cooperation between the two countries,`` MFA added.
Bilateral relations between Turkey and Kyrgyzstan and regional developments will be high on agenda of Gul`s meetings.
Gul is also expected to meet Turkish businessmen and people living in Kyrgyzstan.
