ISTANBUL (AA) - Turkish Industry & Trade Minister Ali Coskun invited all investors to benefit from opportunities Turkey offered.
Speaking at Turkish-German Economy Congress on Wednesday, Coskun said, ``Germany is Turkey`s most important trade partner. Our annual trade volume exceeded 21 billion USD. Among foreign investments in Turkey German capital ranks the 3rd.``
``Turkey hosts more than 3 million German tourists each year. More than 50,000 German citizens are living in Turkey. Nearly 3 million Turkish citizens are living in Germany and this is the most important dimension of relations between two countries,`` he added.
``Number of small and medium scale enterprises of Turkish citizens in Germany has reached 60,000. These enterprises have a business volume of nearly 30 billion Euro and they provide employment to 350,000 people. The investments of Turkish citizens living in Germany is nearly 7.5 billion Euro. Researches estimate that annual turnover of Turkish companies in Germany may reach 95 billion Euro in 2010,`` noted Coskun.
Coskun said, ``political and economic instability were eliminated in Turkey. Our targets are to establish a more appropriate investment milieu and make Turkey a center of attraction for foreign investments. No discrimination should be made between domestic and foreign capitals. Our foreign capital expectation for this year is 5 billion USD.``
