Turday Members Condemn Switzerland

ANKARA (AA) - Members of Turkish World Solidarity Group (TURDAY) met Swiss Ambassador to Turkey Walter Gyger and presented him a letter which condemns the decision of Swiss authorities to open a legal procedure against Prof. Yusuf Halacoglu, Chairman of Turkish Institute of History.
     TURDAY Executive Board Secretary Prof. Dr. Orhan Kavuncu told reporters that besides the letter they also presented a statement including views of 81 organizations of TURDAY against so-called Armenian genocide. ``We asked Gyger to convey these views to Swiss officials,`` added Kavuncu.
     ``Gyger said that he hoped this incident will not deteriorate relations between Turkey and Switzerland,`` said Kavuncu.
     Switzerland opened a legal procedure against Prof. Halacoglu because of his statement against the allegations of so-called Armenian genocide.
