TEHRAN - Turkish State Minister Kursad Tuzmen, who is currently in Iran on an official visit, met on Monday Iranian Commerce Minister Mohammad Shariat-Madari.
At his meeting with Shariat-Madari, Tuzmen said that they aimed to increase trade volume between the two countries to 4 billion U.S. dollars in 2005.
Later, Iranian Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref received Tuzmen.
Tuzmen said that they aimed to revive Silk Road with Silk Road Train Project and reduce transportation expenses.
State Minister Kursad Tuzmen arrived in Iran Saturday for Silk Road Train Fair.
He will depart from Iran for Paris on May 3rd to attend Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) Ministerial Council Meeting.
