At least four killed in suicide car bomb attacks in Mosul

MOSUL, Iraq - At least four people were killed and seven wounded Monday in a twin suicide car bombing in a busy district of the northern Iraqi city of Mosul, medical sources and the US military said.
A woman and a child were among the four dead, said Dr Zeid Hashem at the local Medical City hospital. "Seven injured people were admitted to the hospital, five in serious condition."
The US military said two suicide car bombers detonated their explosives near a US convoy in a busy neighbourhood, killing a child and injuring 15 people. A US soldier was also wounded, it said in a statement.
"This attack comes one day after another car bomb loaded into a stolen hospital ambulance was driven into a tent where a funeral service was being held" in the nearby city of Tall Afar, it noted.
Twenty-five Iraqis were killed and 50 injured in Sunday's attack on mourners attending the funeral of a local Kurdish official gunned down in Mosul.
