Gul: Muslim Countries Must Be More Active In Finding Solutions To Their Problems And Opening The Way For Positive Changes

ISTANBUL - Turkish Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul has indicated today (Sunday) that Muslim countries must be more active in finding solutions to their problems and opening the way for positive changes.
Gul was a speaker at the Turkey Voluntary Organizations Foundation's (TGTV) conference titled ''International Islamic World NGOs.''
Gul remarked that the best way to resolve problems caused by globalization is making use of the human resources.
''Governments must make NGOs stronger, more open to discussions and free participation in order to develop themselves,'' stressed Gul.
According to Gul, Islamic world's rich culture has the strength to guide nations in the 21st century. ''Nations must preserve their own cultures at a time when active participation by the NGOs is encouraged. The NGOs will function as a bridge between governments and people,'' expressed Gul.
Gul added that the NGOs have a vital role in constructive criticisms of governments. ''NGOs play an important role in the management of peoples.''
