US Air Attack: 7 dead

It is reported that, as the result of the air attack organized on a shelter of Taliban militants in Uruzgan province by US Air Forces in Afghanistan, 7 people were killed, 3 of them civilians.

In a statement made by the Afghan army, it is said that one of the dead was a woman and one a child. Two more children were also wounded in the attack. The statement said that all available means are used to avoid civilian casulties. The US army, on the other hand, made no explanation about the air attacks US helicopters and planes took part in.

Four years after the Taliban regime was overthrown, there are still regions where Taliban militants are effective. 18,000 US soldiers in Afghanistan are trying to clean up the ruins of the Taliban regime and help to establish a new Afghan Army.
