ISTANBUL - The Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) will contribute to re-integration of Iraq with the international community, OIC Secretary General Prof. Dr. Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu said on Friday.
Speaking to A.A correspondent, Ihsanoglu underlined the importance of the meeting of foreign ministers of Iraq's neighboring countries being held in Turkey after formation of the new Iraqi government.
Ihsanoglu wished success to the new government of Iraq, and expressed belief that Iraq's neighbors would support this new process in Iraq.
Noting that he met Ashraf Jehangir Qazi, UN Special Representative for Iraq, this morning, Ihsanoglu said that they discussed cooperation opportunities, recent development in Iraq, and how the new constitution would be prepared.
OIC Secretary General said that the new constitution of Iraq should be prepared in line with the earlier announced schedule, and noted that the constitution should reflect views of different parts of the society equally.
