BALIKESIR - The squadrons which will take part in NATO Tiger Meet-05 (NTM-05) Military Exercise have started to arrive in northwestern city of Balikesir today (Friday).
For the first time Turkey hosts the exercise, which is held by one of the member country of the NATO Tiger Association (NTA), every year.
Fleets having the `tiger` emblem which belong to the Armed Forces of Germany, Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Britain, Slovakia, Poland and Turkey will take part in the military exercises. Officials said that the exercises would actually start on Saturday and crowds would be able to watch it.
The military exercise, which aims to train airmen in tactical air operations, will continue until May 9th.
More than 20 different types of planes will take part in the exercise. The flights will take place in daytime and be limited to Turkish airspace.
