KLEIN: GROWING INTEREST IN TURKISH BANKS INDICATES THAT THE SECTOR IN ON THE RIGHT TRACK
ISTANBUL - Citigroup Global Banking High Executive Michael Klein said interest of the international players in the Turkish banks indicated that the sector was improving on the right track.
Klein, currently in Turkey to attend Second Investment Advisory Council meeting, told A.A correspondent that regulation changes in Turkish banking sector and the structural reforms would ensure a better climate for the sector in the next 10 years.
Klein said they have been acting in the Turkish market for 30 years, stating that this was an indication of their loyalty to this country.
Meanwhile, Yuichi Aoki, the Director General of Mitsui Foreign Trade Ltd., said they wanted the current positive course in Turkey be maintained.
Aoki said, ''the most important thing is the political stability. The government also makes important steps for the sake of investors.''
