Ice Hockey Hall of Famer Red Horner dies

TORONTO - Ice hockey's Hall of Fame lost its oldest living member Wednesday when Reginald "Red" Horner died at the age of 95.
Horner, born on May 28, 1909, played for Frank Selke's amateur team before making his National Hockey League debut with the Toronto Maple Leafs in 1928.
"The Toronto Maple Leafs were saddened to learn of the passing of legend Reginald 'Red' Horner Wednesday," the team said on its website.
He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1965, in honor of a 12-year career spent entirely with Toronto. He collected 42 goals, 110 assists and 1,264 penalty minutes in 490 games before retiring in 1940.
Horner, who led the NHL in penalty minutes for eight consecutive seasons beginning in 1932-33, helped the Maple Leafs to their first Stanley Cup in 1932. He served as the team's captain in his final two seasons.
