PARIS - The Formula 1 (F1) race to be held in Turkey for the first time in August, was promoted in French capital of Paris on Thursday.
F1 experts and pilots attended the meeting held at Turkey's Culture & Promotion Office in Paris.
F-1 pilot French Patrick Tambay said, ''the track (the race will take place) is one hour away from (Turkish commercial hub of) Istanbul's downtown by car, and 15 minutes by helicopter. So, easy transportation is an advantage.''
On the other hand, Laurent Barralis, the owner of a travel agency which brings rich people to F1 races by limos and helicopters, said that his company makes preparations to bring such people to Istanbul to watch the race.
