BEIRUT - The new government of Lebanese prime minister Nagib Miqati won a confidence vote in parliament on Wednesday with a large majority.
"The government won 109 votes, with one vote against and three abstentions," parliament speaker Nabih Berri said.
Miqati, who formed his government last week following two months of political deadlock, has pledged to hold elections by the end of May.
