CHICAGO - Boeing said Monday it has received an order for up to 15 additional of its 737 airplanes worth a total of 750 million from Copa Airline of Panama.
The company said the deal currently includes firm orders for five planes and that deliveries should begin in 2007, with options for 10 more.
"Copa Airlines continues providing passengers with increased route options and flight frequencies thanks to one of the most modern, advanced fleets," said Boeing Commercial Airplanes vice president John Wojick.
"It's demonstrating how the Next-Generation 737 can contribute to an airline's bottom line."
Copa now operates 21 new 737s, with three remaining to be delivered from prior orders.
