KOMOTINI - The 12th Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) foreign ministers' meeting ended in Komotini, Greece on Saturday.
Member countries signed Komotini Agreement after the meeting in which Turkey was represented by Foreign Ministry Deputy Undersecretary Ender Arat.
Through the agreement, Black Sea and southeast European countries became closer with the EU.
Members also agreed to bring the understanding into force for cooperation in fight against organized crime and human smuggling. They also agreed to establish highway and railway connection with EU countries.
Turkish Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul did not attend BSEC meeting as Greek Foreign Minister Petros Molyviatis did not take part in the meeting due to his health problems.
