Turkish F.M. To Attend Hand Over Ceremony At Northern Cyprus Presidency

LEFKOSA - Turkish Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul will attend the ceremony to be held tomorrow (Sunday) in which current President of TRNC (Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus) Rauf Denktas will hand over the post to Mehmet Ali Talat, who has won the presidential elections and resigned from prime ministry today (Saturday).
Talat will take his oath at the parliament which will convene for an extraordinary session at 4.00 p.m. tomorrow, and take over the presidency from Denktas during a ceremony to be held at the Presidential Office.
On the other hand, Gul will have meetings with each President Rauf Denktas and Mehmet Ali Talat, who will become the new president of TRNC, tomorrow. Gul is expected to meet Talat at 1.00 p.m. and Denktas at 2.00 p.m.
After watching Talat taking his oath at the parliament, Gul will attend the hand over ceremony and the reception to take place afterwards.
Gul will return to Turkey after taking part in the reception.
