BODRUM - Turkish and Greek children were entertaining together in ceremonies held to celebrate the April 23rd National Sovereignty and Children's Day in Turgutreis hamlet of Aegean town of Bodrum when tension escalated between Turkish and Greek coast guard boats around Kardak islets in the Aegean Sea.
320 children from Kos and Kalymnos islands of Greece attended the celebrations in Turgutreis.
Turkish and Greek children performed their shows in the ceremonies, while Turgutreis Mayor Ali Server Yazgan watched the shows together with a Greek delegation.
Earlier today, two Greek fishing boats violated Turkish territorial waters near Kardak islets. After this incident, one Turkish and two Greek coast guard boats went to the area. The tension was over as the coast guard boats left the area.
