ANKARA - National Security Council (NSC) Secretary General Yigit Alpogan said on Thursday that no evidence or document proving that a genocide was committed against Armenians has been put forward so far.
Responding to questions of TED students, Alpogan said that the Armenian allegations were unfounded claims fabricated in order to blacken Turkey.
Alpogan said that certain parliaments took decisions supporting Armenian claims as if they were historians giving example the recent decision taken by the Polish parliament.
Upon questions about problems between Turkey and Greece, Alpogan said that many things changed after 1999 and the dialogue process continued. Yet there were still problems in the bilateral relations like issues of territorial waters, continental shelf and airspace, Alpogan said, adding that such problems could at least be discussed with Greece today.
Responding to a question about the solution of Cyprus problem, Alpogan said that there was nothing for Turkey to do for solution of Cyprus problem as Annan plan which was supported by TRNC, was not accepted by the other side.
