KABUL - Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan visited the International Security and Assistance Force (ISAF) headquarters on the second day of his trip to Afghanistan (Thursday).
Erdogan firstly met NATO Senior Civilian Representative in Afghanistan Hikmet Cetin. Erdogan and Cetin discussed the support which NATO provided to Afghanistan, the plan of expanding security in the country and the security assistance to be given during elections in September. The rehabilitation of Kabul airport also came to agenda at the meeting.
Prime Minister Erdogan who later visited ISAF Commander Gen. Ethem Erdagi, also met General Rashid Dostum, the chief-of-staff to the commander of the Afghan armed forces.
