ISTANBUL - Police arrested on Tuesday one of the suspects of Sivas hotel fire in July of 1993 that killed 37 people.
Sources told the A.A correspondent that Tufan Caymaz, one of the 38 individuals for whom warrants of arrest have been issued in absentia on charges of involvement in the fire set on Sivas' Madimak Hotel on July 2nd, 1993, was detained at the International Flights Terminal of Istanbul's Ataturk Airport.
The same sources added that Caymaz had just arrived from abroad to Turkey.
In March of 2005, police arrested two people in Sivas who were also involved in the arson attack. One of these people was sentenced to life imprisonment, and the other was sentenced to seven and a half years in prison.
